老左（黄秋生 饰）是香港老一代彻头彻尾的左派，他哼唱《歌唱祖国》、《智取老虎山》，高举为人民服务的伟大旗帜。他一生最大的愿望就是能到北京天安门去看看。 老左一生全心全意为人民服务，完全没有把心放到自己的小家上，令儿子左忠（郑中基 饰）心生不满。左忠有一个青梅竹马的女友陆敏（莫文蔚 饰），陆敏高中毕业后去了国外留学，左忠不想一辈子和老左一样背着“左”的包袱，利用内地改革开放的机会，展开了内地冒险式淘金之旅。 左忠和陆敏在1997年回归后最终满身伤痕回到香港，老左的一生最终将如何落幕？。这部影片大胆重塑了蝙蝠侠的传奇故事，背景设定在阿兹特克帝国。一位年轻的阿兹特克男孩在父亲被西班牙征服者杀害后逃往特诺奇蒂特兰。他在蝙蝠神 Tzinacan 的神庙中训练，并研制武器为父复仇。一路上，他遇到了一些为人熟知的人物，比如美洲豹女侠和征服者埃尔南·科尔特斯。。Alone on Halloween| a young woman finds a mysterious VHS tape on her doorstep-a tape that shows a series of gruesome and ghastly tales that appear to be all too real.
