During his time in jail, he finds comfort from four women with whom he corresponds. After his second court appearance, he is finally freed from prison only to be framed for yet 2 more murders which he did not commit. With the help of his former prison guard, he once again sets out to clear his name.。该剧讲述了富甲一方的王鲁宁（陈宝国饰）因走私文物发家，为防止东窗事发，谋杀了一个知情者。警官欧阳光慈认定王鲁宁和此事有关，可是苦无证据。王鲁宁一直爱慕着茶社女老板李东娜（许晴饰），把自己的全部秘密告诉了她。但李东娜并不是个普通的女人，她和王鲁宁结婚后，给警方拨通了匿名电话，欧阳光慈终于找到了证据。王鲁宁酗酒后撞车最终成为植物人。。
