節目一連兩集，由新晉演員郭嘉駿（193）主持，找來當紅網絡影評人一同「講經」，由四個角度︰「港產大片」、「社會議題」、「人生處境」、以及「賀歲片」去切入，賞析論盡本屆金像獎（第43屆）的入圍電影。當中也有外景環節，訪問《香港四徑大步走》導演Robin Lee，談談紀錄片在香港市場定位；主持亦會帶領觀眾參觀《九龍城寨之圍城》的電影展覽，分析作品揚威海外的原因，展望將來。。2025《本色华年》节目突出年味儿、老兵味儿的特色，以“走四方，遇本色”为主线，分为8集，走进东南西北广阔的天地，纪录老兵真情实感，探访老兵生活，体验老兵职业，并量身定制送上实景文艺演出致敬。老兵主题无人机表演首秀；戈壁滩为一个老兵的演唱会；战味儿的新说唱；高山滑雪的刺激；各地民俗；传统非遗；时尚跑酷等丰富的形式，让观众和老兵们一起过一个别开生面的“老兵的年”！。The year is 1989.
