A beautiful young woman in the South of France is stalked by, then raped by, a mysterious masked assailant. She shoots him dead soon afterwards and dumps his corpse in the sea. Later, an American investigator turns up, and to her horror he seems to know everything about what she has done......。民国年代，骗徒陈木昆（孔德贤饰）善于假扮道士，一次惹祸，逃至五族房镇。与此同时，木昆假借神仙吕洞宾（谢东闵饰）之名行骗的事情，惊动了吕祖本尊，决定下凡惩治他。阴差阳错下，洞宾失去法力，被迫滞留人间。洞宾及后以雷石之名伴随木昆，以导化他踏上正途，期间竟破解乡中不少奇案。一人一仙还遇上青楼女子白雪花（陈嘉慧饰），关系纠缠不清。镇长辛虎（李成昌饰）退位，木昆暗中阻拦恶霸金士豪（韦家雄饰）参选，新任镇长辛正义（黄嘉乐饰）亦针对士豪过往所为推行改革，为五族房镇掀起连场风波……。
