A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry. Despite the murkiness of some of the issues in the latter conflict, the students pitch in enthusiastically on what they believe to be the side of righteousness, and passions rise to fever pitch. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide。青年向坂伸行（玉森裕太饰）在浏览网页的时候误打误撞的点开了一个名为“雨树之国”的博客，就此结识了博客的管理者瞳（西内玛利亚饰），巧合的是，瞳不仅和向坂年岁相仿，而且生活在同一个城市。就这样，两人开始了邮件的往来，一来二去之中感情急速升温。向坂十分想在现实里见一见这位志同道合的好友，可是瞳却犹豫了，因为她有一个秘密——瞳患有感音性耳聋。 经不住向坂的软磨硬泡，怀着忐忑的心情，瞳和向坂终于见面了。然而，这两人的初次约会并不完美，瞳种种怪异的举动让向坂感到非常的烦躁，最终，忍不住脾气的他向瞳发火了，瞳这才露出了耳朵上佩戴的助听器。。
