《全金属狂潮》第四季动画将于2018年4月开播，动画由XEBEC制作。《全金》的第四季动画也是有生之年系列，距离京都动画当年的第三季已经有将近12年的时间。在2016年的Fantasia学园祭上公布《全金属狂潮 IV》这个标题时官方就说明“IV” 不是罗马数字4，1月19日第四季的副标题正式公布，“IV”是两个英文单词的首字母缩写——“Invisible Victory”（无形的胜利）。。When the single middle-aged Luis travels from Barcelona to bury the remains of his mother in the vault of his family in Segovia, he is lodged by his aunt Pilar in her old house where he spent his summer of 1936 with her.
