A struggling children's book author and his rebellious teenage daughter move into a house they've inherited and find mysterious dolls in the attic. The father and daughter soon learn that the dolls have a sinister - and deadly - past.。因犯事而被判入狱之弱智成年人肥猫获保释，社会工作者玛姬奉命派往照料肥猫，玛姬接肥猫出狱，并带他去离岛拜祭父母，因交通意外二人分开，肥猫独自流浪。肥猫得一老人收留，由于其简单乐观性格，很得村人好感，更化解老人与隔壁青年之误会，三人成为好友。肥猫参加乡村表演，玛姬从电视看到，遂往乡村向老人讨回肥猫……。
