Subjects of Desire is a thought provoking film that examines the cultural shift in beauty standards towards embracing (or appropriating) Black aesthetics and features, deconstructing what we understand about race and the power behind beauty.。故事讲述了开发商安东想强拆何倩倩外婆的老宅建成一片别墅区。为了不让安东强拆老宅，何倩倩暑假和同学江佳琪一起回到了老宅，初恋王晓峰还有一群初中同学陪着她想出了一个请笔仙装鬼的办法吓走开发商，可后来事情扑朔迷离，诡异事件接连发生，人心惶惶，到底有什么未知的恐惧在等待着他们......。
