故事发生在1942年的夏天，节子（山口百惠饰）的父亲是一名外交官，节子从小就成长在宽松包容的家庭氛围之中。节子有个好朋友名叫达郎（三浦友和饰），在闲暇时光里，节子常常和达郎在一起玩，久而久之，两人之间长生了真挚的感情。 可就在这个节骨眼上，节子患上了肺病，不仅如此，她的父亲还将她许配给了一个她并不爱的男人。为了逃避这段婚姻，节子只身一人踏上了前往东京的旅途，她要去找达郎，哪知道达郎的父母也因为节子糟糕的健康状况而反对他们的结合。最终，节子和达郎之间的真爱战胜了世俗偏见，两人终于携手步入了婚姻的殿堂，此时，战争爆发了。。When odd couple Jan and Kris are forced to work together to produce a podcast, they learn they are both undergoing “The Change” – aka menopause – and embark on a journey of transformation, helping each other through workplace challenges and office politics, dating and relationship drama, and some serious health concerns.
