战后荒岛物种变异巨兽横行，地理杂志生物专栏的年轻编辑们登上这座荒岛进行考察，被巨型食人蚁、毒蝎等体型异常的物种疯狂围猎，幸好得到一群雇佣兵的救助。结伴同行的两队人马越深入荒岛中心越觉得毛骨悚然，惊扰了岛上的众多巨兽，还被卷入变异巨蟒和巨型大猩猩的怪兽争霸中……。An oil company is drilling in a small town and suddenly they face volcanic eruption. This seems a small event at first sight but soon it becomes clear that it is the start of a long chain of eruptions. In the movie we see people rushing to save their lives and gradually it becomes a global phenomena that has ability to enfulf the whole globe。
