故事讲述突如其来的未知生命体“Gadoll”，使人类长年陷入灭亡的危机，生存下来的人们为了保护自己，建造了高度3,000M 的巨大移动要塞“DECA-DENCE”。 DECA-DENCE的居民分为日夜与 Gadoll 战斗的战士“Gear”，以及没有战斗能力的“Tanker”。憧憬并梦想成为战士的少女・夏目，冷淡的装甲修理人・镝木，不放弃希望、努力向前的少女与舍弃梦想的现实主义男人，看似极端相反的两人，因他们的相遇而让世界的未来有了巨大改变。。Restoration carried out by the National Museum of Singapore and the World Cinema Foundation.
