Their wildness of spirit, in both man and horse, is quickly dwarfed by the wilderness they must navigat...。童福昌（奇梦石 饰）和方秀云（王玉梅 饰）结婚多年，共同生养了六名子女，一直以来，夫妻两人相敬如宾，感情十分要好。如今，孩子们都已经各自成家立业，两位老人操劳一生，总算过上了平静的晚年生活。 然而，厄运降临到了这个大家庭之中，一场意外让童福昌失去了行动和自理的能力，他不仅住进了医院，还需要时时有人在身边照顾。在医院里，大女儿童建菊（奚美娟 饰）偶遇了曾经的初恋情人，如今的院长高士达（王时槐），这让她感到惊喜交加。童福昌出院后，子女们担负起了轮流照顾他的责任，人一多事就多，随着时间的推移，各种各样的矛盾渐渐浮出水面。。
