Meanwhile, EZ and Angel have grown distant from their father Felipe (Edward James Olmos) after a heart wrenching betrayal.。该剧根据刘儒的同名小说改编，是我国首部涉及人大题材的电视剧，被称作“当代官场现形记”。该剧以沈阳慕马案为原型，把慕绥新、马向东从发迹到走向毁灭的过程加以艺术再现。在跌宕起伏、悬念重重的剧情中，人大主任在市委坚定有力的支持下，运用国家和人民赋予的神圣权力，一一挫败市长的种种阴谋，最终正义战胜邪恶，激浊扬清，惩治腐败！。2013年1月発売予定のコミック版『氷菓』3巻限定版では、テレビ版の第11話と第12話の間に相当する完全オリジナルエピソードである第11.5話を収録したBlu-ray Discが付録する予定。第11.5話は2012年7月8日0時よりUSTREAMで先行配信された。。
