Fårö Document 1979 is the ten-year followup to the first documentary Bergman made about his adopted home, Fårö, where he filmed many of his best works and lived until the end of his life。外卖员陈定一的父亲，被深夜醉酒飙车的海城首富之子叶城撞成重伤。叶城畏罪逃逸后，不仅不思弥补，还猥亵陈定一的妹妹，冲突下致其重伤失明。陈定一为讨公道，拒绝叶家收买，不惧艰难将为非作歹的叶家父子送进监狱。。
