Meanwhile, the truth Sydney found out in Wittenberg endangers her relationship with Jack, and eventually she reveals the awful truth to Vaughn: about her father having Irina murd...。本片根据同名京剧改编，源出「水浒传」，胡金铨编剧。值得一提的是，擅演悲剧的乐蒂首次以俏皮方式演出丫头一角。故事始于才子卞济（乔庄）落拓花田，卖画维生，与官家小姐（丁宁）一见锺情，却因恶霸（朱牧）介入而波折重重，闹出连篇笑话……。本片描述一名曾经在白人和红人社会出生入死多次的人瑞回忆他的一生经历，从一个侧面反映了美国西部开拓时期的一页血与泪的历史。本片是这红人翻案的反传统西部片，内容和构想都处理得颇具新意，每一段情节都具有相当高的趣味性。达斯廷．霍夫曼在片中从十几岁演到一百二十岁，是演技上的一大突破，另外马丁．巴山姆、费伊．达纳韦等演员的表演也不落俗套。。
