香港半山的一幢七十年古老大屋，住著業主張小姐（丁珮）與姘夫炳少（陳百祥）之外，其他住客如的士輝（劉家輝）、口水驃（盧大偉）、大蓮（李殿朗）、坡叔（劉克宣）、PC強（詹森）及龍醫生（谷峰）等，來自江湖四海，各有背景，各有職業，居於一屋，爭執難免。地產商曾公子（曹查理）透過師爺（羅國維）收購大屋，炳少見錢開眼，於是一連串之逼遷與反逼遷的行動相繼展開，笑中有淚，淚中有笑，最後收購計劃終告失敗，全部住客同被政府徙置於新型屋村。。民国年间白河镇诡谲案件频发：十二生肖挖心案、鬼婴杀人案等。李正九人称“九叔”，善于探查民间诡事，此前他的兄长离奇被杀，九叔怀疑这一切与白河镇案件有关。在九叔在经历了九死一生的调查之后，案子真相逐渐浮出水面。。In his starring debut Roy gets elected to congress in order to bring water to the ranchers in his district. In Washington he learns he needs the backing of a key congressman and gets that man to go west for an inspection trip. When the Congressman is initally unimpressed, Roy gets the inspection party stranded without water to show the true conditions.。
